Upcoming Blog-site Improvements for ChowJOBS

This blog has evolved from a not so serious job hunting blog (see humorous posts from April to June of 2009) to a more mature one. People from New York, New Jersey, and California are among the more than 40-states that visit this blog in a given month. Surprisingly, people from all over the world visit this blog, too. In fact, over the past month visitors came from 53 other countries, such as Australia, Brazil, Canada, the United Kingdom, India, and Algeria, among others.

This made me realize that people from all over the world see New York City as the beacon of hope (for jobs). And a more befitting reference would be a quote from the late President Reagan which could easily be attributed to this great city: “The shining city atop a hill.” This is in allusion to New York City that you and I share and maybe the only thing we have in common.

As a tribute to ALL of you who I want to help land back on their feet in this worrisome job market, I have made enhancements to this blog which you will be seeing starting tomorrow, December 6, 2009. These improvements are the following:

(1) A free standing true job search page with the tab “APPLY for JOBS in NYC by Indeed” will be up and running. This will replace the search boxes with the reference “WHAT” and “WHERE” located currently at the upper right hand corner of this blog. I believe the page “APPLY for JOBS in NYC by Indeed” will present a more user friendly experience for you.

(2) The page “APPLY for JOBS in NYC by Indeed” will also allow recruiters and human resources professionals to post jobs at a reduced fee of $25 per posting.

(3) One-to-three job leads will be consistently posted from Sundays to Thursdays. Note that this job leads are not paid-for by the companies featured.

(4) Eliminating the Google search box found on the upper right hand corner of this blog and the page “giftshop4dogs”. These are the most useless features of this blog (LOL).

THANK YOU ALL! MORE JOB LEADS ARE COMING YOUR WAY SOON!
